How Does It Function?

Texas Allergy Services is an ancillary medical services provider that specializes in establishing fully staffed and operational allergy centers within qualified provider offices. TAS manages the operational aspects of your allergy center while you focus on the clinical aspects. In your own office, you can provide your patients with a full range of seasonal and perennial allergy testing and immunotherapy treatment.

Texas Allergy Services provides allergy testing kits and immunotherapy treatment to a variety of providers who treat the vast majority of seasonal and perennial allergy patients. This category includes:

  • Primary care providers
  • Pulmonologists
  • ENT providers
  • Dermatologists
  • Pediatricians
  • Internal medicine providers
  • Healthcare systems

The full TAS ancillary medical service line includes in-office TAS Clinical Allergy Specialist (CAS) staffing and training, quality assurance and compliance, supply and inventory management, and supply and inventory management. On a daily basis, a TAS CAS will be directly supervised by the provider to test, analyze, and perform dilutions for immunotherapy treatments. The provider informs patients about the therapy and its outcomes. They then employ TAS proprietary protocols to deliver a customized allergy treatment program that achieves the best individual patient treatment outcomes.

TAS provides all allergy testing, therapy supplies, and educational materials at no cost to the medical practice. Request an implementation chart to see how we can help you expand your allergy testing and immunotherapy treatment practice.

Allergies in Primary Care: Expanding Access to Long-Term Allergy Relief

Asthma and allergies continue to be two of the most common chronic conditions in America, affecting more than 60 million individuals annually. Many of these correspond to airborne allergens, which differ by habitat and location and include pet dander, dust, mold, and pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. They can cause a variety of allergy symptoms, including sinus infections, anaphylaxis, skin rashes, runny and stuffy noses, itchy and watery eyes, and skin irritation.

On a national level, allergies frequently result in missed work and school days and a billion-dollar economic impact. Only one in five allergy sufferers, however, actually sees a specialist due to the restricted availability of specialized care and the high rate of allergy sufferers who either misdiagnose their symptoms or choose over-the-counter medication.

In actuality, allergy care falls within primary care. Since childhood allergies are directly linked to the development of disorders like allergic asthma, long-term relief from allergies can significantly improve a person’s quality of life. However, allergy care also functions as a preventive precaution. The focus and continuity of care that can only be provided by a primary care physician are directly beneficial to its diagnosis and treatment.

Our goal is to assist providers in this endeavor. A long-term, safe, and effective treatment for allergies is allergen immunotherapy. Texas Allergy Services, a pioneer in the field of allergen immunotherapy, has the knowledge, connections, and infrastructure required to assist our providers in providing their patients with the highest caliber allergy care.
